Adult Choir 

St. Anne’s adult choir is made up of volunteers who enjoy music.  Contrary to popular opinion, some choir members do not read music.  All we require is that you are at least 13 years old, have a love of music, can carry a tune, are willing to give up one night a week, and desire to worship in song.

The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  We sing at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Mass.  The choir supports the congregation for hymns, sings a special song at the Communion and will sometimes sing an appropriate Choral Introit prior to the start of Mass.  Our music is selected from classical, Latin, contemporary and traditional sources.   Music is given to the singers well in advance, and for Easter and Christmas additional masses are required.  For Christmas the choir provides a 30 minute musical prelude to the Midnight Mass.  For Easter the choir provides all musical liturgy for Holy Week and Easter Vigil as well as Easter Sunday morning.  The choir does not rehearse during the summer and has a break from mid June until the Feast of the Assumption.
